Bisquick Chocolate Chip Cookie Recipie

Greetings! To make Monday's a bit less dreary, cookies just seem to be a natural fit (or in this case, a single giant cookie). What makes this recipie unique is that it actually calls for Bisquick (pancake mix) instead of flour!
And may I say it is a delicious substitute... as you can see my mother and sister thought so as well. The easy recipie below is for individual cookies- have fun!

Ingredients:

1/2 cup butter, softened

1 cup packed brown sugar

1 teaspoon vanilla

1 egg

2 cups Bisquick Heart Smart® mix

1 cup semisweet chocolate chips (6 oz)
Procedures:
1. Heat oven to 350°F. In large bowl, beat butter and brown sugar with electric mixer on medium speed until light and fluffy. Beat in vanilla and egg. Add Bisquick mix; beat on low speed until combined. Stir in chocolate chips

2. Onto ungreased cookie sheets, drop dough by tablespoonfuls about 2 inches apart.

3. Bake 8 to 10 minutes or until set on edges and golden brown. Cool on cookie sheets 2 minutes. Remove from cookie sheets to cooling racks.

Enjoy!

LIGHTS 'Where the Fence is Low' Acoustic

Check out this awesome video of LIGHTS playing 'Where the Fence is Low' acoustically for Common Revolt! It is rumored she will be releasing an acoustic version of Siberia in the upcoming months.... any thoughts on that? I (of course) can't wait for new material! She's definitely doing Canada proud!

Lime Crime Lipstick Review!

Hello all, and welcome to what I'd like to call "a new year, a new blog..."
In the spirit of re-vamping, I splurged and bought an ever so popular Lime Crime Lipstick! I ordered it on Monday night for $15.99 and the package arrived Friday in this adorable purple box!

Of course I tore open the box to see the adorable purple, sparkly unicorn packaging! The shape is pretty similar to MAC ones so this would look nice amongst them. In case you were wondering, I got the shade "Glamour 101" which is a deep, brown red.

The lipstick itself applies very smoothly and is very opaque on the lips. You definitely need to use this with a deep red lip-liner to prevent feathering! Just a warning, this will stain your lips! However, I think it is a nice change from the average red and would look nice on many skintones.

All of the lipsticks are vegan and cruely free (yay for animals!), which is a heartful bonus! I definitely reccomed checking out Lime Crime lipsticks for the amazing pigmentation, range of colours and adorable packaging (I just had to!).
